i hope you all had a FABULOUS Thanksgiving!!! i know we did! The weather was wonderful. We had the windows open, the guys watched football and played corn hole outside, while Mom and i cooked in the kitchen. i'm so happy, my first Thanksgiving dinner turned out PERFECT!! Everything was soooo good and i ate WAY to much, but how can you help it! i started cooking at 9:30 yesterday morning and didn't sit down to rest till about 7:00 last night. i must say i was absolutely exhausted but it was worth EVERY minute of it!! i definitely have a greater appreciation for what my Mom has gone through every year. it's a lot of work preparing for a 20 minute meal! Ha! Ha! i was so happy to finally use all my new bakeware and dishes. The table was so beautiful! Loved it!! Now it's time to prepare for Christmas. Geesh! Time flies, doesn't it?

Which means its officially countdown to Christmas time!!! If you haven't caught on to our Santa's Workshops yet, it's about time you do because they are pretty FANTASTIC!!

i'm teaching this calendar class, Yay! i created this twelve month calendar, which flips on a Lucite stand... soooo stinkin' cute! Using Cricut and AccuCut shapes and it's the perfect size to sit on your desk top or kitchen counter! it would also make a wonderful gift!! This class is already filling so call now to sign up before its to late. Space is limited in this one since i'll be preparing EVERYTHING for you!! ;0)

Happy Thanksgiving

 So i have been home sick with the ick for the past 3 days and FINALLY felt like myself yesterday. Thank God for two reasons, One, i was so miserably sick and Two, since i'm cooking Thanksgiving dinner and all... We'll see how that turns out since my Grandmother is cooking the Turkey and Stuffing, my Mom is making the potato's, vegetables and rolls. Which then leaves me with Appetizers... now how did that happen? Thought i was supposed to be cooking?? O' well so much for that! Hey, at least it's still at my house. Which means i still have to set the table, prepare FOR the meal, serve and clean up. Ha! Anyway, hope you all have a wonderful and filling Thanksgiving day!! Don't forget to pop in the store over the weekend to redeem your Turkey Bucks!! We'll be open Friday & Saturday 10am - 6pm and Sunday 1pm - 4pm See you then!!

Banner Frustration.

i am supposed to be making some store samples right now but instead i have been sitting on this dumb computer for 2 hours now, trying to figure this thing out!! So here's my sit-chi-a-tion... i CAN NOT figure out how to turn a JPG into a banner?? If anyone knows how to do that, can you please fill me in? i have changed the pixels, reduced the size, tried banner making sites, googled everything in it's brother and it is just not on my side!! So of course, noooow i am sooo unbelievably frustrated AND annoyed with this stupid banner thing, that i am determined to get it done!! i am sooo NOT down with all this blogging stuff, but i do it for all of you and i just want a cute banner, dangit!! =) Can you feel my frustration? (LOL) So help a sista out!!! i've checked out so many blogs today i wanna barf... don't get me wrong they were all adorable, AND some have photos for their banner and that's what i'm trying to create. HELP!!

i am sooo ready to go home, have a glass of wine, put my feet up and watch Mc. Dreamy!! Thanks to those that tried to help me and gave me a few tips but i think i am in need of some more detailed help!! Adios!

OK so this dumb typepad banner thing is driving me bonkers... so don't mind the screwed up banner for now till i can play around with it more. i'm getting quite annoyed actually, and if anyone has some tips for me on "how to create a new banner" i'd LOVE to hear 'em because i am going nuts messing with this friggin' thing when i should be sleeping. He! He! Ok i'm out...

Santa's Workshop!

Ok so if you're checking this and the Blog is all messed up or different, it's because i am playing around with new typepad backgrounds and banners. i'm trying to chang up the appearance and theme of the blog. So bare with me on this till i get it figured out! May be a day or two till ya see something new, but just incase. i LOVE change! it's so FUN to spice things up a bit. i think my NEW hair cut did it for me!! Ha! Ha! Oh... PS: i chopped 8 INCHES off my hair yesterday! Yup, sure did! LOVE it too!! Tim says, i look like Kelly Pickler. That can either be good or bad, but we are ONLY talking about the hair here and she does have an adorable hair cut. Plus he thinks she's a hottie! LOL

 

FINALLY got the Proofs!

Yay! Our Wedding proofs came yesterday!! So EXCITED!! That's us on the Siesta Key Trolley. So much FUN!! We rented it to take the entire Bridal Party from the church to Longboat Key. What a blast and one of the best ideas! So i will post an album once we pick some favorites! i will let you know when i do! Our photos are absolutely PHENOMENAL and my long time friend Renee, who is actually a Photographer on Martha's Vineyard now, did our photos for us and she is beyond words AMAZING!!! Some are going to be entered in Magazine adds. i can't BELIEVE it!!! So stoked about that! So stay tuned... Here's a few to check out and then on to Scrapbook news... Ha! Ha!

Ok so now... November, November, November. Geesh! Can you believe Thanksgiving is only 2 weeks away. Mom has officially passed the torch and i'm doing Thanksgiving dinner this year at my house. Wow! She's got a lot of trust in my cooking. Ha! Ha! Let ya know how that goes... lol... but i'm actually REALLY excited about doing it! i LOVE to decorate soooo, we'll see! Anyways that's off the subject... We've got TONS of great workshops going on this month and i'm certain you don't want to miss out on these!! Our Santa's Workshops are only $15.00 and worth EVERY penny! These projects are too cute and perfect for hostess gifts or to that special some one. Come in and check them out. i PROMISE to TRY and get some pictures up on the website for you, but more incentive to pop in the store! Make sure you check out the calendar page of the website because these Workshops are all held at night from 6:00pm - 8:00pm on different days of the week. Ok gotta get back to rearranging the store ;0) More later...

Hmmm... Rumor Mills

Ok... i KNOW, i KNOW, it's been 3 weeks since my last blog and i am sooo bad at this blogging thing. i have been yelled at many times over the past few weeks to update the blog AND show more pictures. Ha! Ha! My apologies! i'm glad you MISS my blogging though! ;0) i literally feel like i haven't had any time to catch up since the Wedding. Some times i wish i could just pause time for a minute, take a breather and recap. Wishful thinking, i guess! i'm still waiting on all my Professional Photos but i do have some other photos in the store for show. i'm working on a little something so stay tuned... 

We have been pretty busy around the store here and since i haven't blogged or barely updated the website in 3 weeks, we've gotten in sooo much AWESOME Holiday collections... Fancy Pants, Websters Pages, Cosmo Cricket, SEI, We R Memory Keepers, Creative Imaginations, American Crafts... just to name a few! You must come in and check them out before it's all gone! Too cute for words! These collections just keep out doing the next. i've also RESET the store once again... gotta keep you on your toes. So be sure to come in and check it out! i LOVE rearranging! So FUN!

November's calendar is up on the website and we've got some Absolutely Adorable classes coming up and Santa's Workshop's starting next Tuesday as well. We've pulled out all the popular and adorable creations from our Staff and Design Team and come up with great Workshop's to help give you a jump start on your Christmas gifts! The Santa's Workshop's will be held during the week on different days starting next Tuesday till mid December from 6:00pm - 8:00pm. So be sure to check the calendar for all the dates and stop in to see all the adorable projects. You won't want to miss out on these!

  November's Workshops are kickin' with creativity and they are selling out fast. So don't wait till the last minute to sign up! I'm teaching a 8.5x8.5 Flip Calendar on the Lucite stands made by Crafters Workshop on Thursday, December 11th from 12pm - 5pm and it's already starting to fill so call ahead and sign up. Cost is $55.00 This one is too cute and the perfect gift for someone special!

 

Sooooo in other news... RUMOR MILL has apparently taken affect... and made it's way to me more then a few times and now for the LAST time. i wasn't very happy to hear this the first time and then yet again and again. i'm not sure WHERE this got started BUT to set the record straight for anyone else who has heard this "RUMOR"... MADE FOR MEMORIES IS NOT CLOSING!!! Hear it from the Lions mouth, (ok maybe not the Lion but the Cub) but we're NOT CLOSING! Hopefully this RUMOR can now be put to rest! In putting out our 30% coupon to all our dear customer's was in hopes of helping you in this crummy economy to in turn ALSO help us! Yes, times are tough on us all but this does not mean we are closing our doors! Rent is extremely high for us and our lease is ending next year, so yes, we may be relocating the store or even buying another building some where, but nothing has been decided final yet. This rumor of us closing is just nonsense though! My Mother and i are committed to making this store survive for all of you whom we love so dearly. So we're gonna keep on keepin' on! We all need to support each other through these tough times though! So the rumor mill has been run down, Ok, enough said. Cheers to a great weekend! =)
